Overall, this is a beautiful tented camp where guests can see the Serengeti in comfort. However, from mid-July through to March, when the Great Migration is not in the area, there are other luxurious options that provide better game viewing.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Grumeti Tented Serengeti Camp lies in the Western Corridor of the Serengeti, on the banks of the Grumeti River.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
All tents face the Grumeti River and have a private deck out front where guests can delight in watching the resident hippo pods. Each rustic yet sophisticated room comes with an en-suite bathroom and includes an outdoor shower where guests are open to the sun or stars.
Meals can be enjoyed on the huge deck with its beautiful views or under the traditional African boma. The camp has a large swimming pool where guests can relax in between game drives whilst watching the surrounding wildlife.
Game viewing is at its peak from May to early July, when the herds migrate into the area and enter their rutting season. This is an area that has great residual game.
