OVERVIEW:
Lemala Ndutu is a mobile camp ideal for watching the wildebeest and zebra migration and for catching the beginning of calfing in January.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
The camp is situated amongst acacia woodland in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area near the border of the southern Serengeti. It sits on the edge of a permanent marsh which attracts large numbers of game, including elephant and giraffe, as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT LEMALA NDUTU CAMP:
Accommodation is in nine spacious tents, each with their own en suite, complete with a flush toilet and safari style shower. The central mess tent includes separate living and dining areas and is beautifully furnished with leather sofas, chests, rugs and even chandeliers!
ACTIVITIES AT LEMALA NDUTU CAMP:
- Game-viewing is excellent here as thousands of zebra and wildebeest start arriving in the area in December, and calfing begins in January.
- As well as standard game drives, guests are able to go on full day game drives, taking delicious breakfast and lunch picnics to eat out in the bush.
- Walking safaris are also available with an armed ranger, and balloon safaris can be arranged (at an extra cost!).
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
