Days 1–2 Victoria Falls

These first two nights are spent at the wonderfully atmospheric Royal Livingstone Hotel. Steeped in history, this five-star luxury hotel has one of the best locations the Zambezi River, 500 metres away from the Falls themselves, providing the perfect base for all activities in the area.

Board basis and activities:
The hotel is booked on a B&B basis and we recommend booking activities while you are staying here. All our safaris include a free private guided tour of the Falls, but to arrange days in full we would suggest asking one of our consultants for their recommendations.

Days 3–5 The Linyanti

NAS302.jpg

After the Royal Livingstone, we take a flight to the exceptional Linyanti region. Home to three of Africa’s finest private reserves, this is a first-class big-game area that’s famous for privacy, exclusivity (the major reason for the increase in cost over our value safari), and some of the best game viewing on the continent. Duma Tau Camp is our favourite of the luxury lodges, with stunning views of the river where elephants regularly cross.

Board basis and activities:
Duma Tau is booked on an all-inclusive basis including all food, drinks, and safari activities. Days are designed by the guides when you arrive in the camp, with standard game drives by day and night available as well as walking and boating safaris – all included in the price.

Days 6–8 Okavango Delta

After two days at Duma Tau, we fly into the Okavango Delta, the jewel in Botswana’s crown. In this wetland paradise, lily-scattered flood plains and palm-fringed islands are features of Africa’s most stunning game-viewing environment, along with stacks of big game. Your home for the next three nights is Little Vumbura, which is located on a beautiful island in the heart of the Vumbura Reserve – an outstanding property that we think has the best location in the entire Delta!

Board basis and activities:
Little Vumbura is booked on an all-inclusive basis including all food, drinks, and safari activities. Days are designed by the guides when you arrive in the camp, with standard game drives by day and night available as well as walking, boating, and mokoro safaris (subject to water levels) – all included in the price.

On Day 9, you will transfer by light aircraft to Maun, where you will connect onto your international flight.
