On Day 1 of your trip, you will fly out to Cape Town and transfer by road to Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel, a journey of about 25 minutes. This property has a fabulous location in the City Bowl area, close to Kloof Street with its wealth of shops, restaurants, and bars! Cape Cadogan is a very attractive building, originally a farmhouse and renovated in 1912 in the Victorian style. The lounge and dining areas have more of a Bohemian feel – and we love the calm courtyard garden at the back of the house, complete with swimming pool! There are 15 guest rooms, all individually decorated and with luxurious en-suite facilities. This really is a lovely base for checking out not only Kloof Street but also the V&A Waterfront, Table Mountains, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and much more! The Hotel provides a daily shuttle service to and from the Waterfront.

Board basis and activities:
Bed-and-breakfast accommodation, including teas/coffees, evening canapés, ports and sherry, scheduled chauffeured waterfront transfers, and Wi-Fi.

On the fifth day of your holiday, you will transfer by road to Franschhoek, to stay at The Last Word. This boutique guesthouse is situated at the end of Huguenot Road, a quiet location yet just a short stroll from award-winning restaurants, in addition to shops, art galleries, and cafés. With its Cape Dutch frontage, The Last Word is pretty spectacular – and the mountain views from its roof terrace are breathtaking too! Outside, there are pleasant gardens and a pool; within the property, there are very comfy lounge and dining areas, as well as just eight guest rooms. These benefit from such features as air conditioning, underfloor heating, velour robes and slippers, and heated towel rails. The Last Word is one of our favourite Franschhoek properties, offering opportunities not only to enjoy the village’s main attractions but also to venture out into the Winelands and sample a fine vintage or two on one of the region’s farms!

Board basis and activities:
Inclusive of breakfast, all beverages, wines, premium spirits, and unlimited Wi-Fi.
