On the first day of your trip, you’ll touch down at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet and Greet. From here, you’ll transfer to the city’s Wilson Airport and fly out to Keekorok Airport (1 hour), before a shared road transfer to Sala’s Camp. This is a characterful property with a friendly atmosphere. Its main mess tent contains a very comfortable lounge, as well as a homely dining area and a well-stocked bar! You’ll stay in one of the camp’s seven guest tents. Each standard-size tent features a sumptuous sleeping area, smart shower room, and outside space with deckchairs. During your time here, you’ll enjoy a great range of activities. If you visit during our recommended months of July to October, your vehicle safaris will include sightings of the famous Great Migration herds, as the hundred thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles push up into the MMNR in search of good grazing! And all year round, the reserve is a dream destination for wildlife viewing.

Game-package accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, bush meals, sundowners, game drives and other camp activities, bush volleyball, nature walks, children’s activities, and a laundry service.

On Day 4, you’ll have a shared road transfer from Sala’s Camp to Mara Plains. This camp has a lovely location within the Olare Motorogi Conservancy, on a bend of the Ntiakitiak river and in the midst of beautiful forest. A bridge leads into the heart of the site and its communal areas, comprising a rather grand lounge, library, and dining room. Guest accommodation includes five standard-size tents, all with a pleasant bedroom, en-suite full bathroom, and wraparound deck. Among the activities offered by Mara Plains are expertly guided game drives, community visits, horse riding, and hot air balloon safaris. The conservancy’s wildlife highlights are numerous – all Big Five, smaller predators such as cheetah, hyena, jackal, and wild dog, and, as you’d expect, plenty of plains game! And there are hundreds of bird species, so it’s well worth bringing your binocs for close scrutiny of the feathery friends here.

Board basis and activities:
Game-package accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, scheduled wildlife-viewing activities in the Olare Motorogi and Mara North conservancies and the MMNR, transfers between camp and Olare Orok Airstrip, and a laundry service.
