When To Visit Mainland Coast:

"Ras Kutani is a wonderful luxury beach lodge where relaxation takes on a whole new meaning."

**Please note that Ras Kutani is currently closed. We will update this page when we have more information**

OVERVIEW:

Ras Kutani is one of our favourite beach lodges in Africa. Well priced and beautifully designed, this place is a real little gem. Polynesian in style, the bamboo-and-thatch design of Ras Kutani is a huge hit with Western travellers looking for that barefoot beach experience. Ras Kutani works very well before or after a safari, especially to Tanzania’s southern parks of Selous and Ruaha. It is also a major hit with honeymooners looking to rest after their wedding before they go on safari.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

Ras Kutani is a rustic beach lodge, blessed by its location off the islands, which offers fantastic value when compared with its island competition. If this lodge was on Zanzibar, it would be double the price.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT RAS KUTANI:

With only eight main chalets as well as four stunning suites, Ras Kutani is a small beach lodge nestling on the edge of a lagoon and gorgeous windswept beach. This is a remote location fitting the lodge design.

ACTIVITIES AT RAS KUTANI:

  • The lodge also works with the local village, offering a refreshingly authentic experience.
  • Other activities include swimming, kayaking and snorkelling. There is no diving here.
  • Activities are really focused on relaxation here – this is a place to come and do little else but eat, drink, take it easy… and potentially even have a massage.
  • Do not come here if you want rigorous activity!
