When To Visit South Luangwa National Park:

Zungulila Bushcamp has great views of the river and onto the plains, where there are natural springs that attract impressive herds of game.

Zungulila suits the safari goer looking for a safari lodge that is authentic yet includes all creature comforts.

Located on the remote floodplains of the Kapamba River in the South Luangwa National Park, Zungulila is a classic tented camp from a bygone era.

There are four spacious thatch-and-canvas rooms featuring private bamboo verandas with impressive views. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers and there is a sunken plunge pool on each deck.

The central areas have a communal dining area, lounge and bar, and there is also a sunken deck with a boma offering great views over the Muchinga Escarpment.

This is primarily a walking camp, but morning and afternoon game drives are on offer too.

"The walking around Zungulila is phenomenal and the camp itself has a great traditional safari feel."
