Little Kwara Camp is the flagship camp of the Reserve and, with only three suites, offers one of the most intimate safaris in the country. The accommodation is luxurious yet resplendent also with a refreshing air of authentic safari – something lost in some of the Delta’s famous camps.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Located in the Kwara Concession in the northern Okavango, Little Kwara Camp is one of our favourite Delta camps. Home to only two camps, Little Kwara Camp and Kwara itself, the Kwara Concession is known for its diversity of game as well as all its predators. Additionally, it’s one of the only concessions in the Okavango Delta to offer big river safari as well as the standard mokoro trips.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
At Little Kwara, there are five en suite tents, all with separate bath and outside showers. We believe this camp offers the perfect balance between adventurous safari and comfort.
Guiding here is a real focus – the Kwando camps are the only camps in the country to have a spotter and guide as standard on all vehicles. This private concession offers also one of the best game-viewing areas in the entire country, as well as a mix of boating and dry game-viewing activities at any time of year – just two of so many reasons why we love this camp.
We feel also that this is one of the very best private concessions to be found anywhere in Africa, not just in Botswana. The sheer beauty of the Concession’s natural habitat is outstanding, while its high concentrations of game are hard to beat.
All of these points combine with the diversity of activities available in this reserve – it’s rare for camps to be able to offer boating safaris, as well as dry game driving and walking, consistently throughout the year.
