There is no doubt that Savute Elephant Lodge is a luxurious lodge that is very well-run. However, some guests may feel that all its modern comforts detract from the safari experience.
A river cruise on the Zambezi Queen makes a refreshing contrast to the normal land-based safari. Watch herds of elephant come down for a swim while hippos harumph on the bank and crocodiles bask in the sun!

Jack’s Camp is one of the most famous camps in Africa. The green outer canvas of Jack’s Camp blends into the foliage of the palm island on which it sits, surrounded by the powder-white salty pans that characterise this area.
San Camp is run by Natural Selection a company of experts offering characterful safaris in Botswana.
Meno A Kwena sits on the Boteti River, the only source of water during the dry season.
Nxai Pan is the best camp in the Reserve, with a good level of guiding and general service. Well worth a visit!
Camp Kalahari is owned by Natural Selection. Simpler in style than its sister camps, Camp Kalahari offers the same service and activities at a much lower price.
Leroo La Tau is a seasonal camp with game-viewing at its best between June and November, when the animals are attracted to the water in the Boteti River. Game-viewing here is unreliable for the remainder of the year.
Kalahari Plains Camp is located inside Central Kalahari National Park, some 25km from the infamous Deception Valley.
Tau Pan Camp is at its best during the wet season from December to April.
What makes Deception Valley unique is its relationship with the San bushmen. Interesting and informative walks with the local bushmen are a real highlight here.
Feline Fields is situated on a wooded island, within the remote north-west region of the Kalahari. It is owned and operated by Raphael and Marjan Real der Sarte, a husband-and-wife team with a passion for conservation.
Dinaka is the new version of Dinaka Safari Camp and is an excellent option for travellers to the Central Kalahari!
