The first property you’ll stay at is Tloma Lodge. This is a comfortable option just outside Karatu, on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Crater. Next up is Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp, in the northern region of the Serengeti. This adventurous property moves twice per year to keep up with the Great Migration! And your last few days are spent at Sunshine Marine Lodge. Situated on the north-eastern coast of Zanzibar, this property offers access to one of the best beaches on the island.

Days 1-2 NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

On Day 1 of your trip, you’ll touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet and Greet. From here, you’ll fly on to Lake Manyara Airport, where you’ll be met by a private guide. This guide, and the private vehicle, will be with you throughout your stay in the Ngorongoro region, making for exclusive experiences while on safari. On your way to Tloma Lodge, you’ll enjoy a vehicle safari in Lake Manyara National Park. Featuring a vast expanse of water and spectacular Rift Valley backdrop, this park is considered one of the prettiest of its kind in Africa. It has plenty of wildlife highlights too, not least its tree-climbing lions and vibrant flocks of flamingo. Following this enticing introduction to safari, you’ll arrive at Tloma, which is positioned on the eastern wall of the Ngorongoro Crater, with views over coffee plantations. Communal spaces include an open-plan lounge/bar, an al fresco dining area, a massage cabin, and a swimming pool! You’ll stay in a spacious standard room, enjoying a contemporary-style bedroom and en-suite washroom. Come Day 2, you’ll head down into the crater, for a game drive involving chances to spot all Big Five – lion, rhino, leopard, elephant, and buffalo – as well as numerous smaller mammals and ample birdlife. Tloma also offers treks in the Ngorongoro region and cultural experiences.

Days 3-5 Serengeti National Park

On the third day of your trip, your private guide will return you to Lake Manyara Airport and you’ll fly to the Serengeti’s Kogatende Airstrip. On landing, you’ll have a shared road transfer to Nasikia Mobile Migration Camp (Kogatende). This adventurous property follows the Great Migration throughout the year. The communal lounge and dining areas have an authentic vibe and breathtaking views! A wood fire is set up every night, which is great for getting to know your fellow guests and sharing safari stories. Inside your tent, you’ll find a large bed, a writing desk, lots of storage space, and en-suite facilities including classic bucket shower, which is open to the elements. Just outside, there’s a patio area. Nasikia’s activities focus on vehicle and walking safaris, both in the company of knowledgeable and experienced guides. Travel here during dry season and you’ll witness the huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles that make up the Great Migration, pushing up into the north of the Serengeti in their search for food. But even outside this period, the park boasts a wealth of wildlife. Pay a little extra, and you can embark on a hot air balloon safari, for the ultimate bird’s-eye view.

Days 6-10 Zanzibar

Come Day 6, you’ll return to Kogatende Airstrip via shared transfer and fly to the international airport on Zanzibar. From here, it’s another shared transfer to Sunshine Marine Lodge. This property has a stunning cliff-top location on the north-eastern coast of the island – and it’s just 700 metres from Manyuni Beach, the best beach on Zanzibar! The lounge and dining areas are very comfortable, and the lodge also benefits from both a small plunge pool and a larger infinity pool, with beautiful views over the Indian Ocean. The accommodation option we’ve chosen for you is a Blue Breeze Suite, offering a well-presented bedroom, bathroom, and either a veranda or a balcony with vistas ranging over the ocean as far as Mnemba Island. From this pleasant base, you can head out to Manyuni for sunbathing, reading, paddling, and swimming, as well as visiting the lodge’s own PADI dive centre to take courses and venture out on all sorts of exciting excursions. The marine life of North-east Zanzibar includes whales, dolphins, turtles, and an astonishing diversity of fish species!

Half-board accommodation, including breakfast and dinner, and transfers between the lodge and Zanzibar’s international airport.

On the final day of your trip, you’ll leave Sunshine Marine Lodge and return to Zanzibar’s international airport via shared road transfer, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
