Day 1 Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Entamanu06

On the first day of your trip, you’ll touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA), receiving a VIP Meet and Greet. From here, you’ll fly to Lake Manyara Airport and have a shared road transfer to Entamanu Ngorongoro. This camp is one of the newer properties near the Crater and it’s something of a YZ favourite! Entamanu was built with the aim of minimising disruption to the landscape. We love the simplicity of its mess tent, as well as the breathtaking views both into the Crater and north-west towards the Serengeti, Olduvai Gorge, and Gol Mountains beyond! Guest accommodation consists of just seven rooms, also with spectacular vistas and that authentic safari feel. While you’re here, you’ll enjoy a game drive in the famous Crater, which is home to all Big Five, numerous smaller mammals, and ample birdlife. Guided walks up on the highlands around the Crater rim are available too. And you can enjoy interactions with the local Maasai, for a little culture on safari!

Board basis and activities:
All-inclusive accommodation, featuring all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, a laundry service, and the following activities on a shared basis: scheduled full morning game drives into the Crater, short highland walks (seasonal), Maasai boma visit, bush picnics, and sundowners.

On Day 2, you’ll return to Lake Manyara Airstrip via shared road transfer and fly to the Serengeti’s Kogatende Airstrip. From here, you’ll have another shared transfer to Serengeti Safari Camp. This property is famous for being the oldest mobile camp in the area – and we reckon it’s among the most adventurous too! The camp travels hundreds of miles every year to seek out the most exciting sights of the Great Migration, ensuring that guests are guaranteed a front-row seat at this spectacular show. Serengeti Safari Camp has six walk-in guest tents. All are comfy, with en-suite facilities including eco-flush toilet and bucket shower. We really like the informal atmosphere here, along with the first-rate guiding. Come the end of each day, there’s usually a gathering around the camp fire, with everyone keen to share their safari stories!

Board basis and activities:
All-inclusive accommodation, featuring all meals, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, standard game drives from a shared open-sided 4×4 game drive vehicle, and a laundry service.
