Days 1–4 Cape Town

On Day 1, you’ll touch down at Cape Town International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet & Greet. From here, you’ll travel to Abbey Manor Luxury Guesthouse via private road transfer. The location of this property is the quiet and well-to-do suburb of Oranjezicht. Abbey Manor is a Georgian house, with a lot of charm. The lounge is truly sumptuous, while the rooftop terrace is the perfect place to chill out and chat with your fellow travellers. There is also a solar-heated swimming pool! The property’s rooms are individually decorated and contain all the amenities you could desire for a comfortable stay – such as air conditioning, satellite television, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and mini-bar. Every room boasts lovely views of Cape Town. Abbey Manor is a brilliant base for checking out the main attractions of the Mother City. You can hike or take a cable car up Table Mountain, visit the V&A Waterfront, book on to a city tour, or relax in Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden. You’re also close to a great range of restaurants and bars, where you can mingle with the friendly locals. It’s an exciting start to your solo journey!

Days 5–7 Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

Motswari Private Game Reserve Leopard

On the fifth day of your trip, you’ll leave Abbey Manor Luxury Guesthouse and return to Cape Town’s international airport via private road transfer. You’ll board a flight bound for Hoedspruit Airport, and once you’ve landed you’ll have another private road transfer to Motswari Private Game Lodge. This is a family-owned and -run property, with a very friendly atmosphere. The communal areas include an open-fronted lounge, which has beautiful views over the lodge’s manicured lawns and beyond to the Sohebele river. There’s also a rim-flow swimming pool, overlooking a nearby waterhole! Guest accommodation consists of 15 well-appointed bungalows, all with air conditioning, excellent en-suite facilities, and views of the surrounding bush. Motswari offers extended game drives both at sunrise and at sunset, as well as guided walking safaris. This area of the Timbavati has a wealth of wildlife – all Big Five, plus cheetah, wild dog, antelopes, gazelles, and much more, including hundreds of birds!

Days 8–10 Sabi Sands Game Reserve

The final part of your trip involves the wildlife-rich Sabi Sands Game Reserve! Come Day 8, you’ll leave Motswari Private Game Lodge and you’ll be driven in a private vehicle to Notten’s Bush Camp. This property has a friendly vibe and fabulous communal areas. They include an indoor lounge with a fully stocked bar and wine cellar, as well as an open-plan lounge and dining room flowing out on to a deck. The deck overlooks a busy waterhole, so you don’t even have to leave camp to enjoy some wildlife viewing! Notten’s has a 20-metre lap pool too, as well as a serene spa. There are just eight guest suites, all elegantly furnished. Each includes overhead fans, comfortable en-suite bathroom, and sliding doors on to a private deck. At night, all areas of camp are lit by candles, making for a magical atmosphere! Notten’s offers early morning and evening game drives, bush walks, bird watching, photographic safaris, and cultural tours. This part of South Africa is also home to all Big Five, in addition to numerous other predators and herbivores – and, of course, plenty of birds!

All-inclusive accommodation, featuring three meals daily, a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks, and two game drives and one bush walk per day. 

On your last day, you’ll leave Notten’s Bush Camp and travel to Skukuza Airport via shared road transfer. From here, you’ll catch a flight to Johannesburg’s O. R. Tambo International Airport, arriving in good time for your flight/s home.
