It begins in a spectacular location in Cape Town, between Camps Bay and Llandudno, before moving to two exceptionally good game reserves. Days 1–3 Cape Town

On Day 1 of your group trip, you will fly out to Cape Town International Airport and transfer by road to 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Twelve Apostles mountain range, this property has one of the most breathtaking locations in Cape Town! All communal areas are exquisite, from the sumptuous lounges to the sophisticated restaurants. Eateries at 12 Apostles include Azure, which overlooks the ocean, and we love the laidback Leopard Bar. The hotel also has a spa, a private cinema, and two swimming pools! The accommodation category we have selected for this trip is the Luxury Room. This option has ocean and mountain views, a choice of king or twin beds, and an average size of 40 square metres. Amenities include individually controlled heating and cooling system, entertainment centre, internet access, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. 12 Apostles provides an excellent assortment of activities, including mountain walks, city tours, and excursions to local beaches, islands, vineyards, and the wonderful World of Birds Park! Cape Town is full of things to do – you can check out the V&A Waterfront, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, and all the bars, cafés, and restaurants of this exhilarating city.

Days 4–6 Timbavati Game Reserve

On the fourth day of your trip, you will fly to Hoedspruit and transfer by road to Kings Camp, Timbavati Game Reserve, for Waterbuck Private Camp. This property has a beautiful location over the dry Nhlaralumi river and a first-rate team comprising ranger, tracker, butler, and chef! All communal areas feel very luxurious – there is a fabulous open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen, as well as a wonderful viewing deck with open boma and swimming pool. All four luxury suites are very well appointed, with air conditioning and heating, satellite television, tea/coffee facilities, and mini-bar. As the camp is booked on an exclusive basis, you can set the pace of your safari and decide whether you wish to spend your time on game drives, walking safaris, or both! There is loads of wildlife to see in the Timbavati – all Big Five, in addition to numerous other predators and herbivores. There are plenty of birds as well! Staff are happy to arrange additional experiences, such as helicopter flights and hot air balloon rides.

Days 7–9 Sabi Sand Game Reserve

For the final part of your group trip, you will fly to the Sabi Sand Game Reserve! Here you will stay at Londolozi Pioneer Camp, the most secluded of all five camps within the Londolozi Reserve. It is positioned in the shade of ancient ebony trees, above the seasonal Sabi river. Interiors recall the 1920s, with a few choice objects such as crystal glass and a gramophone. The overall style, however, is very contemporary, with clean lines, chic fabrics, and sliding glass panel windows that provide amazing views of the surrounding bush. Pioneer Camp has a comfortable lounge, an elegant dining room, a well-stocked bar, a swimming pool, and a deck for dining while looking out for any passing wildlife! Each of the property’s three bedrooms defines deluxe, with chrome, marble, and mahogany furnishings – and every suite has a private deck with plunge pool. Activities from Londolozi Pioneer include sunrise and sunset game drives, bush walks, photographic safaris, and village experiences. As the camp is exclusively booked, you will have your own safari vehicle, guide, and chef!
