In total, you’ll stay at four first-rate properties. Ole Sereni is very conveniently close to Nairobi’s international airport, and it’s also adjacent to the city’s national park. Borana is an old-style Laikipia lodge with superb communal areas that really suit a large group! Kicheche Bush is situated in the Mara’s Olare Motorogi Conservancy, and it offers an authentic yet luxurious base from which to explore the region. Finally Almanara, on Diani Beach, has several three-bedroom villas that have their own kitchen, so they can be run independently from the rest of the property, but with your own staff to look after your every need!

Day 1 Nairobi

On Day 1 of your vacation, you’ll touch down at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, receiving a VIP Meet and Greet service. From here, you’ll transfer privately to Ole Sereni, where you’ll stay for just one night before your safari begins. Easily accessed from the airport, the hotel is also a stone’s throw from Nairobi National Park! Its main restaurant and bar boast breathtaking views over the savanna, so you can indulge in a little preview of wildlife watching before heading out to Laikipia and the Mara region. Ol Sereni has a spa as well, and a spacious swimming pool.

Days 2-4 Laikipia

On the second day of your vacation, you’ll transfer privately from Ole Sereni to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, then fly out to Lewa Downs Airstrip (1 hr 5 mins) before a shared transfer to Borana Lodge. Situated within its own ranch, this property has a commanding hillside position and two separate sites. Together these sites provide loads of communal areas, with features such as large lounges and a spacious swimming pool! Borana has eight characterful cottages – four doubles and four twins. All are designed to provide plenty of creature comforts, as well as sweeping views of the hillside and a busy waterhole. When it comes to activities, Borana benefits from access into the Lewa–Borana Landscape in addition to the ranch, cue some seriously good game drives!

All-inclusive accommodation, including all meals, a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi, and a laundry service.

Days 5-8 Olare Motorogi Conservancy (Greater Mara)

After your time in Laikipia, you’ll have a shared transfer back to Lewa Downs Airstrip and you’ll fly to Olare Orok Airstrip in the Maasai Mara (1 hr 25 mins). Then it’s a shared transfer to Kicheche Bush Camp, in the Olare Motorogi Conservancy. With just six tents, Kicheche has a very exclusive feel, and it is also far more luxurious than most bushcamps! The style of the mess tent is echoed in each of the guest tents, which have a private lounge space in addition to a cosy bedroom and en-suite facilities.

Board basis and activities:
Game-package basis, including all food, drinks, and shared scheduled safari activities. Days are designed by the guides when you arrive in the camp, with standard game drives and guided walks included in the price.

Activities from Kicheche focus on game drives within the Conservancy, and travellers staying a minimum of three nights have access to the Maasai Mara National Reserve itself too! This means you are guaranteed a wealth of wildlife sightings. Nature walks are also possible, and you can visit a local Maasai village to soak up a little culture while on safari.

Days 9-12 Diani Beach

The final part of your trip is your beach break! You’ll depart late from Kicheche Bush Camp, transferring to the Maasai Mara’s Ol Kiombo Airstrip before flying out to Ukunda Airport (2 hrs 25 mins) and transferring to Almanara Boutique Hotel. This is a truly lavish property comprising one hotel and seven villas, perfect for winding down after your time on safari! A spectacular 25 kilometres of white sand stretches out right outside the hotel, with the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean lapping at its shores. The central feature of Almanara is its sparkling swimming pool, but the communal lounge is pretty special too! There is also a spa, a games room, and a rooftop gym. You can also relax on the beach, but if you wish to get active then Almanara has its own watersports centre. There’s diving, deep-sea fishing, kite surfing, and even dolphin and whale shark watching, just in case you feel the need to go wildlife watching again!

Board basis and activities:
Full-board accommodation, including bespoke daily dining (three meals daily incl. a selection of alcoholic and soft drinks), transfers between the hotel and Ukunda Airport, and chauffeur services within Diani.

On the last day of your trip, you’ll return to Ukunda Airport and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport (1 hr 40 mins), before transferring privately to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in time for your flight/s home.
