Serengeti Migration Camp is extremely comfortable and rather picturesque, however its size means it sometimes attracts large groups, which takes away the intimate more personal feel that we value so much.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Serengeti Migration Camp is located by the Grumeti River in northern Serengeti. The camp is tucked amongst some rocky boulders near the starting point of the migration.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The reception and lounge area is a structure of stone and thatch, with a totally open side with views across the river. It feels rustic and beautifully breezy, yet leather sofas and bronzes give it a colonial air. There are several decks where guests can sit outside and a lovely swimming pool where they can relax.
The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. They are elevated and linked by wooden walkways. Each has gauze windows, canvas ceilings, and walls made of stone and thatch. The bathrooms consist of his and hers sinks, flush toilets and powerful showers. They all have 360° wrap-around decks.
There are morning and afternoon game drives, however there is an extra cost for walking safaris unless guests are staying at least three nights. Undoubtedly, the best time to be here is during the migration, as guests will normally have to travel 20 km to the Lobo kopjes to see the best game through the rest of the year.
