Olakira Camp is located in Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park. It is a well-priced mobile camp that moves twice per year to keep up with the Serengeti’s Great Migration.

OVERVIEW:
Sister camp to the more luxurious Sayari Camp, Olakira is a more outdoorsy mobile camp that focuses on the safari experience over the luxury on offer at Sayari.

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Moving twice per year, we believe Olakira is at its best from July through to October, when the Great Migration crosses Mara River in the northern Kogatende region of the Serengeti. At this time of year, Olakira is located on a sweeping bend of Mara River at a popular crossing point – it has the finest location of all the mobile camps. From December through to March, Olakira is located on Ndutu Plains and is a fabulous camp from which to view the Great Migration calving.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
With only eight tents, Olakira is a small and personal little camp that has gained a great reputation for offering good-value safari, with excellent guiding and good standards of hospitality. The camp is adventurous, yet still comfortable, with attractive large tents and ensuite facilities complete with bucket showers.

ACTIVITIES:
Activities are based around standard game drives, though walking safari can be arranged on request. Night driving is not permitted.

"Asilia's best mobile camp in my opinion. The location from July to October, with river crossings on tap, is absolutely superb."
