Set up in 2003 with the intention of becoming South Africa's most desirable art, hospitality and wine destination, Delaire is at the very top of its game. Owned by Laurence Graff, Chairman of Graff Diamonds International, very little (if any!) expense has been spared in the creation of the property.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Located between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch, Delaire Graff has one of the finest settings in the Cape Winelands.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
Many of our guests visit Delaire whilst staying elsewhere (simply due to its cost!), however those that do stay have one of the very best boutique hotels in the country to enjoy. The hotel itself has ten elegant lodges ranging from the standard ‘Deluxe’ lodges to the ‘Presidential’ and ‘Owners’ Lodge. Each comes complete with its own private pool and small kitchen. One other huge attraction of Delaire Graff is the sheer quality of the gastronomic experience.
Using high quality ingredients from local ethical farmers and organic suppliers, the executive chef Christian Campbell, accompanied by some of the countries most experienced sommeliers, is taking the dining experience to a new level.
Set up as a working vineyard, Delaire has achieved impressive awards over the last years which placed the Estate up in the top 10 producers in South Africa. Located on the crest of the Helshoogte Mountain Pass, this high-altitude location is perfect for excellent wines due to the quality of its soils and cooling sea breezes. The owner has then guaranteed excellence by building one of the most advanced cellars in the world. We recommend walking around the estate to enjoy the scenery, sculpted gardens and impressive artwork dotted throughout. Delaire has two restaurants, a winery and stunning vineyards to explore, as well as a Spa treatment centre, exclusive hotel, two luxury boutiques and one of the best art collections in Africa!
