Born in Germany and raised in Kentucky for some of her childhood, Annabel is no stranger to foreign climes. However, it was a game ranger’s course at a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa during her teenage years that truly opened her eyes to the rest of the world.
After school she went travelling for a year, starting her journey in India, where she taught English in a remote part of Rajasthan, and finishing up in a hammock on the beach in Mexico. From there, it made sense to try to indulge this love of the faraway with her academic side. She went on to read Tourism and Marketing in Bristol, where she gained a First Class BA Honours degree.
Since university, Annabel has taken every opportunity to travel the globe from St Petersburg to the Seychelles, Tuscany to Kashmir, Lithuania to Lisbon. Annabel has also now enjoyed a safari to Tanzania with Yellow Zebra and has firmly got the 'Africa bug'!
