Moremi Crossing is larger than we would like, and the safari here is rather limited, however it is a reasonable lower-priced option which would suit travellers on a tighter budget. The camp is crescent-shaped and built on several levels to appear more spacious.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Moremi Crossing is situated in the busy Gunns Concession on the edge of the Moremi Game Reserve. It is one of the largest safari camps in the Delta and sits on a small palm-fringed island just off the southern tip of Chiefs Island.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
All the rooms have wonderful views of the Okavango waterways, floodplains, grasslands and woods. The lounge, dining room and bar are open-plan and have a high thatched roof. Outside, a shaded deck area leads to a pool. Accommodation is in 16 classic safari tents with ensuite showers and private viewing decks where guests can sit enjoying the fabulous view.
Activities are mainly water-based as game drives are not available here, but walking safaris are also popular.
