We highly recommend Little Tubu if you will be visiting only one part of the Delta and it combines very well indeed with one of the Linyanti camps, such as DumaTau.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Little Tubu is sister camp of the larger Tubu Tree Camp, situated nearby. Both camps are located on Hundu Island, an area well known for its particularly good leopard viewing and high concentrations of other predators. This is genuinely one of the most pristine and healthy ecosystems left on Earth.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
The camp itself is very intimate and private, consisting of only three elegant suites accommodating just six guests and decorated in delicate neutral hues. It is perfect for honeymooners or families who would like to have a whole camp to themselves. Elevated walkways link the tents to the main dining, bar and pool areas that are designed to blend seamlessly into the environment and maximise the views over the floodplains.
With water virtually surrounding the camp during the peak flood season from May through to September, Little Tubu offers a great combination of wet and dry safari. At the right time of the year you will have your pick from day and night drives, walking safaris, as well as boating and mokoros. Outside the peak season the area dries up considerably, which is great for big game viewing. The camp has great access to what is without doubt the best game-viewing area in this south-western part of the Okavango Delta.
