When To Visit Tswalu Kalahari:

Tswalu Tarkuni is the personal family home of the game reserve's owner but is available to groups of up to ten guests.

Like its sister camp, Motse Tswalu, Tarkuni offers guests the opportunity for a truly unique experience in the vast open wilderness of Tswalu. With a maximum of just thirty guests across the two camps and only six vehicles, you are unlikely to find many places in Africa where you can be alone in so much space. Tarkuni has a superb location, set between two rolling mountain ranges on this fabulous reserve, on the border of South Africa and Botswana.

Tarkuni is located in the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, which is South Africa's largest privately owned game reserve.

With five luxurious suites, each with a stunning bathroom, this exclusive private home has its own pool, two lounges with fireplaces and a dedicated team including host, chef, personal field guide and tracker.

Tswalu is a truly special place and for groups of the right size Tarkuni offers a fantastic experience at a great price. Here, activities include game drives in open-sided safari vehicles, horseback safaris, hot air balloon trips and visits to archaeological sites.
