When To Visit Mozambique:

Mozambique has long been known for the quality of its beaches, but, with the opening of new lodges and dive sites, people now come here to dive. The area is wonderfully unspoiled.

Beautiful coral reefs have been largely untouched – indeed, some of the lodges we offer are the very first to use the reefs for diving operations.

Vamizi in the Quirimbas Archipelago features one of the world's top 10 dive sites, according to the Sunday Times. This amazing beach lodge is the only lodge to have ever offered diving in the island’s waters.

On the mainland coast near Vamizi, one of our favourite budget beach lodges, Guludo, has equally untouched reefs that no one except lodge guests have dived on. This is a great option for adventurous, outdoorsy clients. Southern Mozambique’s Bazaruto Archipelago also has a number of superb reefs. This region is busier than the Quirimbas, but Benguerra Lodge, the oldest lodge in the area, offers excellent opportunities to explore the Bazaruto reefs.
