Kenya Competition: Terms & Conditions

The Yellow Zebra Kenya competition is subject to the following terms and conditions:

Blog requirements:

  • To be eligible for entry, participants must write a blog post on their website, responding to the question, ‘Sustainability in 2019 and beyond – what changes have you made to your personal lifestyle in an attempt to live more eco-consciously, what struggles have you experienced, and do you have more plans for the future?’
  • The post must link to the Yellow Zebra Safaris' (YZS) Kenya section at https://yellowzebrasafaris.com/kenya/ (UK bloggers; for others, see below), and it must promote YZS and Asilia Africa on Instagram (either a post or a story) via the hashtags #YellowZebraSafaris and #AsiliaAfrica
  • In the event that an entrant does not have an Instagram account, Twitter or Facebook posts linking to the blog post and promoting the companies with the hashtags #YellowZebraSafaris and #AsiliaAfrica will be accepted.
  • Bloggers based in the United States of America, please link to the relevant page on our US site, https://yellowzebrasafaris.com/us/kenya
  • Bloggers based in Canada, please link to the relevant page on our Canada site, https://yellowzebrasafaris.com/ca/kenya
  • Entrants should run their own blog on a relevant platform (e.g. WordPress). Social networking websites such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn are not considered blog platforms.
  • In order to count as an entry, the blog post must be submitted via email to [email protected] Blog posts not sent via email will not be considered as entries. Blog and social media posts must not mention or promote other travel operators.
  • In order to be considered, the blog post must exceed 300 words.
  • The entry period for the competition will run from Tuesday 1st October 2019 at 8:00am BST (3:00am EDT) until Thursday 31st October 2019 at 12:00am GMT (7:00pm EDT).

The prize:

  • The prize is available for two travellers (one must be the blogger) in a shared room, on a full board basis.
  • The prize will be available for travel between 1st December 2019 and 31st March 2020 (excluding Christmas and New Year) and subject to availability.
  • Internal flights, transfers, and park/concession fees will be covered.
  • YZS will also contribute a maximum of $1,000 towards international flights.
  • If applicable, visa fees will have to be paid for by travellers on arrival.

The fine print:

  • The promoter (YZS) reserves the right to cancel or postpone the competition at any stage in the event of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
  • The competition is not open to anyone associated with YZS or any associated companies.
  • YZS reserves the right to ask entrants to verify their eligibility to enter by providing a valid form of ID. Entrants will require a passport with a minimum of 6 months’ validation remaining beyond the completion of their trip.
  • The winner will be announced on the YZS Instagram account (@YellowZebraSafaris).
  • The competition will proceed only if the minimum number of entries (15) is reached.
  • The winner agrees to share their experience (tagging YZS) in a review on their personal blog within 30 days of return and to share a minimum of two posts on social media, tagging the official Instagram account of YZS (@YellowZebraSafaris) and also of Asilia Africa (@AsiliaAfrica).
  • By entering this competition, you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  • Entrants must be at least 18 years of age and proof of age will be required before the prize is confirmed.
