ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT STANLEY & LIVINGSTONE BOUTIQUE HOTEL:
Guest accommodation consists of 16 suites, within eight one-story structures positioned in the hotel’s well-kept gardens. Two pairs of suites are interleading and are sufficiently spacious to fit an extra bed. One suite is suitable for wheelchair users. Every unit offers an impressive 70 square meters of floor space! This includes a comfortable bedroom, featuring a double bed or twin beds, bedside stands and lighting, a writing desk and chair, a wardrobe, and a separate seating area. The en-suite washroom contains flush toilet, twin washbasins, shower, and bathtub. There’s a lounge too, with a sofa, two easy chairs, a coffee table, and a television. Additional amenities comprise air conditioning, mosquito nets, telephone, mini-bar, safe, and free Wi-Fi. Doors lead out onto a private terrace, where you’ll find a couple of chairs, a table, and amazing views over the grounds and towards a nearby waterhole that’s very popular with wildlife!
Most of the communal spaces at the Stanley & Livingstone occupy a large building just right to the center of the site. Inside, you’ll find the lounge, which contains a range of super-plush seating around a coffee table and amidst various colonial touches such as a bust of Queen Victoria and a globe stand. An ornate chandelier hangs from the ceiling, one wall has a safari fresco, and an upright piano is positioned in a corner. However, the central focus is the grand fireplace with its ornate mirror and candlesticks over, and sturdy bookshelves on either side. Adjacent to this area is the hotel’s bar, merging winged armchairs and more contemporary chairs and barstools, and offering an excellent assortment of drinks, not least fine wines from the cellar. The gourmet restaurant is one setting for delicious meals, and guests can also dine on the terrace while marveling at garden and waterhole views! Anyone in need of a little pampering can pop to the spa for therapeutic massages, facials, mani-pedis, and more, while the peaceful gardens include a highly inviting swimming pool, with sunloungers and parasols alongside.
