Namibia Honeyoon Safaris

Namibia is not particularly popular with honeymooners, primarily because many honeymooners wish to combine a safari with a good beach vacation. However, a honeymoon in Namibia can be very special.

Namibia is a great option for travelers who have no interest in the beach, but simply wish to experience Namibia. It is a wonderful opportunity to explore a country famous for its wilderness areas and to enjoy its incredibly dramatic scenery. The huge dunes at Sossusvlei, the mystery of Damaraland, and the big game viewing in Etosha, are Namibia’s most popular destinations. However, travel further afield, up the Skeleton Coast and into the far northern Kakaoland, and you will find remote destinations to truly take your breath away.

Unlike the majority of itineraries for Namibia, we recommend that travelers miss out Etosha altogether. We have always believed that the best part of Namibia is its scenery, and that if you are just traveling for game viewing, you should really consider either Tanzania or Botswana, where game viewing is at its finest.

However, if scenery and remote wilderness are what you are after, Namibia is sublime. We recommend starting in Sossusvlei, with two days spent exploring the dunes from the luxury of Wilderness Kulala Desert Lodge. A couple of nights here are followed up by two nights in Swakopmund, at Stiltz Lodge.

Then the ‘real safari’ begins, as we fly you up the Skeleton Coast to the new Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp, where you can search for desert elephant and even rhino, before continuing to the final destination at Wilderness Serra Cafema. We guarantee that you will never have seen scenery like this.

The perfect time to travel to Namibia is in its peak season, from May through to October.
