Chongwe River Camp is located just outside the official boundary of Lower Zambezi National Park.

OVERVIEW:
Overall, this is a fabulous camp, offering great value and high standards in one of the park’s finest settings. Our only negative is the camp’s location outside the park boundary, resulting in less game in the vicinity of camp than other Lower Zambezi properties.

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Chongwe River Camp sits on the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
Chongwe River Camp has developed a great reputation over the last few years. This fairly new camp has become a worthy competitor to the park’s longer-established operators.

Chongwe River Camp has 16 superb tents as well as two stunning suites. All of the rooms here offer very good value – we often argue that this is the Lower Zambezi’s best-value camp. The entire camp looks out over the confluence of the two rivers and back to the escarpment behind. The setting is one of the finest in the park.

ACTIVITIES:
Activities on offer are standard game drives by day and by night as well as boating, canoeing, fishing and walking. Meet the Chongwe River Camp guides here and learn why they love the area they operate in.
