Outside, there are well-kept gardens and a swimming pool – flanked by sun loungers, the pool is perfect for a little relaxation during your time here.
ACTIVITIES AT EKA HOTEL:
Some travelers might be staying at Eka for a very short time, with scarce opportunity to explore Nairobi. However, if your schedule allows even just a few hours to check out Kenya’s capital city, you’ll find no shortage of things to do!
- You could begin by visiting Nairobi National Park, opposite the hotel. This area’s 117 square kilometers of grasslands, woodlands, streams, and ravines are home to lion, leopard, cheetah, black and white rhino, hippo, masses of plains game, and over 500 bird species!
- Nairobi has a wealth of museums too – for example, the National Museum with its vast collection of artifacts, in addition to the Railway Museum, and also the Karen Blixen Museum, the former home of the Danish author.
- We highly recommend a trip to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s elephant orphanage, to observe orphaned eles enjoying their midday bath and feeding. The city boasts plenty of parks and gardens, ideal for a bit of a wander. And of course, there are loads of shops, markets, cafés, restaurants, and bars!
