Mbuzi Mawe Tented Camp is situated in the Lobo area of the Serengeti on one of the main corridors of the Great Migration. It is part of the Serena Hotel Group, which caters for the upper-middle market packaged safaris. It is smaller and slightly more upmarket the most of their camps.
The main area is a large canvas and stone building, which contains reception, a stylish boutique and a lounge and dining area.
A wide terrace gives spectacular views across the Serengeti. The 16 guestrooms are in large Meru tents with stone foundations. Each has a four-poster bed, and en suite bathroom and a shady veranda.
