Safari overview of suggested accommodation and activities
This 8-night safari adventure begins in Arusha, where you’ll stay at Rivertrees Country Inn. Once rested from your initial journey into Tanzania, the next day you’ll head to Arusha central for a guided city tour, before continuing on to Lake Manyara National Park, staying at Wayo Manyara Green Camp for two nights. With beautiful waterfall views, an excellent range of activities, and prime position in the park, this is the perfect place to get the most out of Manyara.
From here you’ll travel to the Karatu region and stay at Plantation Lodge for the night, positioning yourself for an early incursion into the Ngorongoro Crater the following morning. An early start the next day brings a full morning game drive on the crater floor (where hopefully you’ll encounter the Big Five), then an afternoon enjoying the stunning caldera views from the crater rim, staying overnight at Mysigio Camp.
The next day you’ll drive into the Serengeti, where the real excitement begins! With both walking safari and game drives possible in the heart of the Great Migration, you’ll stay for 3 nights at the impressive Wayo Serengeti Green Camp. Their locations are some of the best, and it’s rare for walking safari to be granted within the park – their eco-credentials are faultless, which has allowed them this capability.
On your last day, you’ll have one more safari experience before flying back to Arusha and spending the afternoon at Rivertrees in a day room to relax, before transferring to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home.
