ACTIVITIES AT CAMP MOREMI:
The camp offers classic game drives, boat safaris, and birdwatching.
-
Game drives
– Led by expert wildlife guides, game drives take place during mornings and afternoons and offer wonderful opportunities to explore the Moremi Game Reserve’s various ecosystems and extraordinary resident wildlife. Keep an eye open for lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Smaller predators include cheetah, hyenas, jackals, and wild dog, while the herbivore count features giraffe, blue wildebeest, zebra, impala, kudu, reedbuck, waterbuck, and lechwe. -
Motorboats
– Boat safaris are a fantastic way to explore the Okavango Delta’s lagoons and waterways, with regular sightings of hippopotamus, crocodile, and perhaps even baboons hanging out and causing mischief in the riverine woodland! Guided boat excursions take place in hard-bottom aluminium boats equipped with comfortable seats, a foldaway canvas roof, and life jackets. -
Birding
– Whether on land or water, you can expect to see a vast display of birdlife, including fish eagle, crested crane, malachite kingfisher, and a YZ favourite, Pel’s fishing owl. Birding is sensational here, especially during spring and summer when the migrants breed.
*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
