Emboo Camp operates a full fleet of electric vehicles, for guests to explore the Maasai Mara Game Reserve in the quietest way possible.
Explore the Maasai Mara in fully electric Land Rovers and Land Cruisers without any engine noise, allowing you to approach wildlife in the most silent, disturbance-free way possible. The Mara guarantees a daily spectacle of wildlife encounters, where the interactions between predator and prey are a constant reminder of the survival of the fittest. Perhaps you’ll come across an elephant herd drinking at the water, a lion pride sleeping in the sun, or a cheetah slinking through the grasses. Each game drive brings a new set of sightings, pointed out by your expert guide.

Emboo Camp can arrange visits to local villages to introduce visitors to Maasai culture, with a special focus on the role of Maasai women. There are plenty of opportunities to learn activities such as fire-making, tracking, and using a bow and arrow, as well as finding out about medicinal plants used in traditional practices.

Hot air balloon excursions launch at sunrise from a dedicated site in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. You’ll set off early on a game drive before soaring high above the plains for a bird’s-eye view of the wildlife roaming beneath. Upon landing, enjoy a champagne bush breakfast before continuing your morning safari activities. Please note that this activity incurs an additional fee.

Emboo Camp offers a variety of activities for kids aged 5 years and above. Child-friendly game drives include fun safari bingo, and children can learn how to track animals and earn a Maasai Warrior training certificate. Arts-and-crafts materials and family games are available in the lounge, and the camp can arrange nature walks around camp or harvesting ingredients from the garden with the Emboo chefs.

Experience Emboo’s eco-friendly ethos in-depth on a behind-the-scenes tour of the camp’s sustainable initiatives, including hydroponic gardens, solar-powered electricity, natural materials, and a successful recycling programme.
