Though we usually use Emara Ole-Sereni for brief stopovers, there’s plenty to do in Nairobi if you’re on an extended stay.
A stay at Emara Ole-Sereni puts you in close proximity to Nairobi National Park, which, given its inner-city location, offers really an exceptionally unique safari experience. Game drives introduce you to a variety of species, including lion, leopard, hyena, and more than fifty black rhinos. It’s an experience well worth incorporating, time permitting.
Nairobi has plenty of highlights to include in a city tour, such as the much-loved Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum, and Kazuri Beads. We can also arrange an inspiring storytelling tour of downtown Nairobi led by a former street child, for a unique perspective on the city.
Guests are invited to use the wellness facilities at next door Ole-Sereni, including the Duma Spa, where you can indulge in a range of massages and beauty treatments. The state-of-the-art gym is one of the best in Nairobi, featuring cardio and strength training equipment, and there’s even a padel tennis court.
Emara Ole-Sereni is located just off the Mombasa Road, approximately 12 kilometres from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and neighbouring Nairobi National Park. Despite the proximity, guests should allow plenty of time for transfers, particularly during busier weekdays.

Our preference is always for the units facing Nairobi National Park, where floor-to-ceiling windows offer stunning views of the plains, particularly from the more spacious suites with separate living rooms. For further convenience, 24-hour room service is a welcome touch if you arrive late or have an early-morning departure.
