When To Visit Lower Zambezi National Park:

Sausage Tree focuses on quality accommodation with amazing service and incredible wildlife sightings.

Each tent has its own butler to assist with anything the guests might need, so works perfectly for small groups and families travelling together.

Sausage Tree Camp is located in the heart of Lower Zambezi National Park on the banks of the Zambezi River.

The lodge consists of eight unique Bedouin-style white canvas tents. Five of these are the signature tents, which have open-air bathrooms and open up onto a private deck with spectacular views of the Zambezi. There are also two honeymoon suites, which have large indoor and outdoor bathrooms, a private dining area and a sizable deck overlooking the Zambezi River. And lastly, there is Kigelia House, which has two en-suite bedrooms and is separated by a lounge area that leads onto a private deck with a pool.

The main area of the camp comprises a large open-sided dining and bar area, which opens out onto a large deck that overlooks the Zambezi River. There is a 25m lap pool situated right on the edge of the river bank.

Meals at the lodge are described as ‘Africa fusion’, with the chefs ranging from local villagers to Paris-trained chefs from the Congo.

Sausage Tree offers morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boat trips and fishing.
