Zungulila suits the safari goer looking for a safari lodge that is authentic yet includes all creature comforts.

ACCESS & LOCATION:

Located on the remote floodplains of the Kapamba River in the South Luangwa National Park, Zungulila is a classic tented camp from a bygone era.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT ZUNGULILA BUSHCAMP:

There are four spacious thatch-and-canvas rooms featuring private bamboo verandas with impressive views. The rooms have en-suite bathrooms with outdoor showers and there is a sunken plunge pool on each deck.

The central areas have a communal dining area, lounge and bar, and there is also a sunken deck with a boma offering great views over the Muchinga Escarpment.

ACTIVITIES AT ZUNGULILA BUSHCAMP:

This is primarily a walking camp, but morning and afternoon game drives are on offer too.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

This property is ideal for travelers who like their creature comforts while on safari! Unlike the authentic little bushcamps for which the South Luangwa is well known, Chinzombo is stylish and super-luxurious, offering villa accommodation.

Nkwali Camp

Kakuli is one of the most northern camps in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park. It is a classic no-frills bush camp that is one of our favorites in the South Luangwa.

Nsolo Bush Camp

We recommend Nsolo for adventurous travelers with a keen interest in walking safaris! Game viewing is exceptionally good, particularly for big cats on the dry riverbed and elephants at the nearby waterhole.
