Colorful Bo-Kaap is the center of Cape Town’s Cape Malay and Muslim heritage, dating back to the 1760s. Dorp can arrange walking tours led by local residents for genuine personal perspectives, and you can visit the Iziko Bo‐Kaap Museum for essential historic context. Also make a stop at the legendary Atlas Trading Co for fragrant spices like cardamom, cumin, and clove.

Cable car rides take you right up to the top of Table Mountain, where 360-degree views of the city await. As part of the UNESCO Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site, there’s an incredible variety of indigenous plant species and fauna. You’ll also have epic views of the Atlantic coast and the Twelve Apostles mountain range.

Explore Cape Town’s highlights on a city tour, when you can include important landmarks such as the Castle of Good Hope, the South African Museum, the Houses of Parliament, the National Gallery, and St. George’s Cathedral. Time permitting, you could also visit the stunning Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden.

Led by an expert guide, visit the beautiful Cape Winelands and explore rolling countryside, world-class wineries, and fine dining around Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, and Paarl. Depending on your interests, you could include local contemporary art galleries, artisanal food shops, and orchard-filled Cape Dutch-style farms.

Cape Town has miles of rugged Atlantic coastline, ideal for long walks and café culture. Visit Camps Bay, Clifton, and Boulders Beach where you’ll have close encounters with a protected colony of African penguins. Weather permitting, you could also opt for a guided sea kayaking adventure.

Visit the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for its craft market, street entertainers, and huge choice of restaurants and cafés. Art enthusiasts should also make a point of stopping at Zeitz MOCAA, the largest museum of contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora.

Robben Island is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned during apartheid. Visits offer important historic context and a reminder of South Africa’s notoriously long and tireless fight for freedom.

Dorp’s roof terrace offers stunning views over the city. During select months, guests can also dine at Palm Café from midday onwards for light bites and small plates. The hotel also has an outdoor plunge pool, a fully equipped gym for cardio, strength, and flexibility training, plus a sauna and a treatment room for massages and therapies. Lastly, Dorp’s in-house boutique offers a curated selection of clothing, crafts, and mementoes.
