Situated on a diverse, wildlife-rich, private Big Five concession, &Beyond Sandibe Under Canvas has access to 22,500 hectares of pristine wilderness offering year-round predator and big game sightings. Enjoy twice-daily game drives in the morning and afternoon, led by expert safari guides who’ll provide valuable insights into the remarkable flora and fauna of the Okavango Delta. All 4×4 safari vehicles come with a fridge, 12V charging units, and USB ports.
Follow the footsteps of the Delta’s wildlife on an expertly led bush walk. You’ll tune in to the signs and sounds of the bush, track big game, stop to look at wild herbs, and learn all about tiny creatures such as dung beetles. Each walk allows you to discover something new, and no two are ever the same!
Embark on a doors-on or doors-off flight for incredible aerial views of the Okavango Delta, with its stunning mosaic of floodplains, channels, and islands. Please note that this activity incurs an additional cost.

Access & Location

&Beyond Sandibe Under Canvas is located on the private Sandibe Concession in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. Guests fly from Maun to Sandibe Airstrip (approximately 20 minutes’ flying time), followed by a half-hour drive to the camp. You can also fly in from other regional camps.

This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.

The bar is always well stocked, and a personalized butler is on hand to attend to every request. Delicious meals are cooked over an open fire and served communally outside, keeping you closely connected with nature throughout the day. You can also request a private table in the bush for a romantic dining experience beneath the stars with the wild close by. Between the morning coffee delivered to your tent, drinks served at the bar, and stories shared around the campfire, the hosting is always friendly and informal, putting you at ease while ensuring you want for nothing.

Each canvas tent is carefully designed with all the essentials, including hot running water, standing fans, solar-powered lamps, and Wi-Fi, while maintaining a low footprint and minimal impact on the land. The en-suite bathrooms come with flushing toilets, double vanities, and piping hot showers, perfect after a day out on safari! You’ll also have use of a complimentary pair of SWAROVSKI OPTIK CL Companion 8×30 binoculars during your stay. Outside, there’s a private veranda furnished with comfy reclining chairs and footstools, where you can enjoy your morning coffee to the sound of birdsong.
