We get rather excited when talking about this camp. Elephants walk through daily and there is great game nearby. However, it is the camp atmosphere that we love the most – it is wonderfully simple, appreciated by first-timers and safari enthusiasts alike. It is also one of the best-value camp experiences we know.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
Situated under a huge canopy of dhoum palm trees on the edge of Lake Manze, Lake Manze Tented Camp has a fantastic location and a seriously good price to match.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
With just 12 rooms, Lake Manze is an adventurous little camp. Focus here is on the simplicity of safari, with Lake Manze reconfirming the fact that a large tent, good bed, flush toilets and a warm shower are all you really need for a good safari.
Activities on offer are standard daytime game drives as well as boating safari and walking safari. There is no fly camping offered from this camp. The one negative point about Lake Manze, is that the guiding standards are not set as high as at nearby Siwandu Camp, Beho Beho or Sand Rivers. However, the very fact that we compare this camp with those lodges speaks for itself – they are double the price of Manze.
