OVERVIEW:
If you like traditional-style hotels, the Plettenberg is an ideal place to stay, with lovely rooms, an excellent restaurant, and first-class service. However, if you prefer smaller boutique hotels, it may not be the place for you.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
The Plettenberg is a magnificent nineteenth-century mansion on the edge of a cliff top overlooking Plettenberg beach. It is the best-known hotel in Plettenberg Bay, one of the most popular stops along the Garden Route. Plett is a lively town with fabulous sandy beaches and some excellent restaurants and bars. The coastline around here is extremely beautiful, so Plett is a perfect base for visiting places such as Nature’s Valley, Keurboomstrand, and Knysna with its beautiful lagoon.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT THE PLETTENBERG HOTEL:
The hotel has 23 rooms and 14 suites, each individually decorated with a spacious ensuite bathroom and air conditioning. It has two infinity pools, its own spa, an informal yet sophisticated cocktail bar, and a first-class restaurant, SeaFood at the Plettenberg, serving modern South African cuisine.
