Lebala Camp is in one of our most popular regions and one of our favourite camps in the entire Linyanti. It is a huge hit with clients wanting to get in on the action. Its focus on safari brings out the thrill-seeking side of people travelling here.

OVERVIEW:
Lebala truly is one of the finest big game-driving camps in Africa. It’s authentic rather than stylised, safari orientated as opposed to hospitality focussed. If it’s big game you’re after, this camp is probably the best in the Linyanti. As with every camp where predator concentrations are high, guides at Lebala are focussed on the big game sightings, setting out on every game drive to find the predators. If this is your taste, look no further!

ACCESS & LOCATION:
Lebala is one of only two camps in this huge Kwando private reserve in northern Botswana. It’s renowned for its serious approach to safari – a welcome break from the more hospitality-focussed camps in the region.

ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES:
With just eight rooms, Lebala is an adventurous camp located in the south of the Kwando Reserve – guests have a huge area to explore by themselves. Additionally, it’s one of the country’s most secluded camps and one of the finest camps in Africa for very good big game viewing.

However, this camp is not for everyone. The owning company makes no secret of the fact that they don’t aim to compete with the high-luxury camps in the area, choosing to focus all their efforts on action-packed game drives. The result is a camp that suits the adventurous to perfection.

ACTIVITIES:
The game viewing in this reserve is at its best during the dry season, with Lebala coming into its absolute peak from July through to early November. At this time, predators and elephant are numerous. The area is also well known for its wild dog. Lebala offers standard game drives both at day and at night, along with walking safari.

"An old favourite in the office due to the sheer quality of the game viewing in this area. Lebala’s reputation for excellent guiding and an authentic approach to safaris is a breath of fresh air in a country where absurdly high price tags seem to be the norm. A great safari camp and a property well regarded as one of the best for Wild Dog."
