Take a ride up the majestic mountain by cable car, and you’ll marvel at thrilling vistas across the region!

This is where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of his 27 years behind bars. The island is situated approximately 7 kilometres off the coast, and it’s accessed from Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront.

Shops, markets, eateries, bars… no stay in the Mother City is complete without at least one excursion to the bustling V&A!

These gardens are an ideal destination for a picnic lunch. Positively overflowing with indigenous flora, they’re fascinating for anyone with an interest in plant life.

This is a very absorbing exhibition of images, artefacts, and recordings, many of them supplied by ex-residents of the district.

This pentagon-shaped structure is the oldest building in South Africa. It’s home to the Castle Military Museum, a must-visit for history fans.

Also highly recommended for history buffs, the houses offers guided tours, hearing attendances, and opportunities to watch debates from its gallery.

Hosting concerts, trade shows, and festivals, the centre is well worth a visit. We’ll be happy to let you know what’ll be happening there during your stay at Fresnaye.

We think Camps is the most glamorous sandy spot in Cape Town! Head there for beach activities, fine dining, or just soaking up some sun.

This sheltered series of four coves, located not far from Camps Bay, is another top pick at YZ. Its 4th Beach is next to La Med, our go-to sundowners spot.

Why not take an excursion to Africa’s south-western tip, which is famous for its beaches? While you’re here, you could also visit Boulders Beach to see lots of penguins, and Simonstown or Fishhoek for a little culture too.
