Great value for quality
Sea Point is one of my favourite parts of Cape Town, as you can explore a bit more independently and there are lots of great cafés and boutique shops. The Cole is an interesting addition to the area, with a cool, contemporary design that is very ‘of the moment’. Not a bad price point too, for this style of hotel!

Take a cable car ride up to the top of Table Mountain for incredible 360-degree views of the city, the Atlantic coast, and the Twelve Apostles mountain range. The mountain is part of the UNESCO Cape Floral Region World Heritage Site, and boasts an astonishing variety of indigenous plant species. If you’re up for a challenge, you could even forfeit the cable car for one of the scenic hiking trails.
Hire a bike from Up Cycle and explore Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard. You can choose from Dutch-style, tandem, mountain bikes, and even a selection of bikes for kids. A fun, family-friendly way to get out into the open air and explore the coastline at your own pace.

Downstairs, the lobby cocktail bar, Script, serves artisanal drinks alongside a menu of small plates and snacks. The atmosphere comes alive on weekend evenings, with a live DJ during Friday’s Margarita Social and after-dark jazz every Saturday. Wellness facilities centre on the spa, which features a sauna and an ice bath, along with single and double treatment rooms and a comprehensive menu of massages, facials, and beauty therapies. Head to the 8th-floor rooftop swimming pool for a swim overlooking the Atlantic, or take to the fully equipped on-site gym to keep up your fitness routine. Finally, visit Boutique Marly for a selection of resort wear, swimwear, and accessories by international and South African designers, as well as handcrafted candles from Kove Collection’s signature ECHO range.

Accommodation at The Cole consists of classic, superior, and deluxe rooms, as well as some larger suites, most of which offer ocean-facing views.
The elegant interiors are consistent across all categories, incorporating a sophisticated pale gold-and-cream colour scheme, warm wood accents, and mid-century modern furnishings. State-of-the-art technology in each room includes a smart TV and Marshall music speakers, along with a Nespresso machine and a refreshment station. At the entry level, Classic Rooms offer 40 sq. m of space, partial sea views, and an en-suite bathroom with a rain shower. Superior Sea-Facing Rooms share the same footprint, but have uninterrupted Atlantic Ocean views, while Superior Mountain Rooms are slightly larger at 50 sq. m, overlooking Lion’s Head. Deluxe Sea-Facing units come with larger private balconies designed for outdoor lounging and dining. Finally, the 70 sq. m Sea-Facing Suites feature separate dressing rooms, lounge areas, and luxurious en-suite bathrooms equipped with both a deep-soaking bathtub and a rain shower.
