OVERVIEW:
Fumba is located in an area that is substantially quieter than much of Zanzibar’s east coast – it is a good option for clients trying to stay away from the crowds.
ACCESS & LOCATION:
It is also less than a 30-minute drive from the airport and the capital Stone Town and located on the Fumba peninsula, a large marine haven that was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1998, by the World Wildlife Federation.
ACCOMMODATION & FACILITIES AT FUMBA BEACH LODGE:
With just over 30 rooms, Fumba Beach Lodge is certainly more of a resort than it is a small boutique hotel. There are a number of different categories of rooms, including some very smart private suites.
ACTIVITIES AT FUMBA BEACH LODGE:
Fumba’s main selling points are its close proximity to some great diving sites and its status as one of the best places to view dolphins on Zanzibar. However, this area is not known for its beaches, which has always been our issue with the hotel – the beach is not nearly as good as elsewhere.
