A great option for those looking for a high level of luxury and excellent guiding. The camp has a laidback luxury feel to it and its location within the eastern section of the park gives it a more secluded feel.

  • Game drives take place during the morning and the afternoon, providing opportunities to see the Lower Zambezi’s wealth of wildlife. Some of the Big Five are in residence – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. In addition to the big cats, other predators include spotted hyena and wild dog, while the herbivore count features zebra, eland, impala, kudu, bushbuck, waterbuck, and many more!

  • Among the 500 or so bird species recorded in the park are some real treats for birders – fish eagles, egrets, storks, and five types of kingfisher. Night drives are also on offer, fantastic for checking out the nocturnal movements of leopard in particular.

  • Walking safaris bring you up close to all the small things in the park, such as its plants and insects. Hippos and crocodiles are commonly spotted on boating and canoeing safaris, as are waterbirds and a lot of thirsty buffalo!

  • And catch-and-release fishing is on offer for anyone who longs to cast their rod into the mighty Zambezi. All levels of experience are accommodated by Anabezi’s river guides, and the camp uses specially made 18-foot pontoon boats to bring you to the best spots imaginable!

It too is raised above the ground too, so wherever you are in camp you can enjoy breathtaking scenery! The structure has a big canvas roof, supported by tree trunks. A row of sticks forms its back wall, but the front of the lodge is open to the beautiful parkland. Spaces include pleasant lounge areas featuring comfy seating and coffee tables, elegant dining areas with separate tables, and a well-stocked bar. At the center of the lodge, there’s a wonderful water feature! All of these spaces flow out onto a deck, which boasts additional lounge and dining furniture, as well as a fire-pit. A few steps lead down to a lovely lawn, complete with swimming pool flanked by sunloungers – this is the perfect place to relax in between activities!

Each is elevated above ground level on a wooden deck to ensure amazing views! Inside, there’s one king-size bed or two double beds, made from teak, in addition to bedside tables and lighting, storage units, and a spacious lounge area. The style throughout could be described as safari chic, understated yet very comfortable. We particularly like a floor lamp that emerges from a tree trunk. En-suite facilities comprise not only an indoor bathroom, but also an outdoor shower. Sliding doors open out to the deck, which boasts your very own plunge pool! The views from here are fantastic, including the mighty Zambezi river and the Mushika floodplain, complete with resident wildlife.
