  • For guests aged 15 years and over, chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest is an absolute highlight. Starting a 30-minute drive from the lodge, spend the morning trekking exuberant chimp families as they swing high up in the tree canopies.

  • This is a 4-hour experience that allows a maximum of six guests per day to spend time with a chimpanzee troop and the scientists researching them.

A 30-minute drive from Kibale Forest National Park, Kibale Lodge is accessed by air and road. From Entebbe, it’s a 1-hour flight followed by an hour’s drive from Kasese airstrip. Cozy fireplaces provide warmth during the cold early mornings and evenings, and the interior design features wooden floors, sheer mosquito nets draped over four-poster beds, wicker, traditional Kuba cloth, and natural stone. A personal butler service is included for all guests. Fans are provided, but guests should note that there is no air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available both in the main lodge and the bandas.
