Gold has the huge selling point of being on one of the best beaches on Zanzibar… but it has often struggled with quality of service. It’s such a shame, but this is a property to be wary of if service is important to you. But what a beach…!

The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned and have a terrace.
They come in five different categories, ranging from a Deluxe Ocean-View Room to a Luxury Villa Retreat. They either overlook the ocean or the lush tropical gardens. Facilities include two restaurants, two bars, a large swimming pool, a children’s pool, a spa with massage treatments and a gym.
**For families with children under the age of 6 years, we always request a first floor room or a room without a balcony for safety reasons. If you stay here with us, please ensure this is what you are given.**
