At the time of writing, the park is home to 10 habituated gorilla groups! Treks into the forest to see the magnificent mammals can last from just an hour to 5–7 hours. The experience of seeing the gorillas in their natural habitat is well worth the longer hikes!

Many smaller species may be viewed along the way, including golden monkey, side-striped jackal, elephant, buffalo, black-fronted duiker, and some brilliant birdlife. Guests will also be invited to take walks in the Afro-montane forest of Nyunge. This national park is popular with chimpanzees, as well as monkey, jackal, and so on. Finally, trips into Kigali will also be possible, to check out the capital city’s monuments and museums, galleries and golf course – and much more besides!

Guests of the villa will enjoy the complimentary services of a house manager, chef, and house staff. Spa treatments will be available at extra cost, as will day trips and transfers to and from Kwitonda, and your all-important gorilla-trekking permits!
