Activities at Pelican Point are mainly focused on exploring the coastal landscape and the marine wildlife on foot.
Self-guided walks are the order of the day and the lodge happily provides simple picnics for guests. This means you can take time to let the charm of this special place sink in, without feeling the pressure of needing to return to the lodge for lunch!

Other activities such as kayaking with seals and quad biking through the dunes are available, but these must be arranged prior to arrival and will be subject to an additional cost.

Pelican Point Lodge is located on a sandbar on a remote peninsular at Walvis Bay.
The social epicentre of the lodge is the dining room and the lounge area with the huge deck.
The deck boasts incredible views out over the Atlantic Ocean and the desert dunes. Having been renovated from the old harbor control building, the lodge has plenty of quirks that add to its character!
The nine suites are similarly quirky. The most impressive of these is the Captain’s Cove, which offers 360° panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, whilst the Lighthouse Suite offers guests the unique opportunity to stay in a lighthouse! Each room, individually decorated, has a private deck for guests to enjoy watching the antics of the marine life.
