You can book a traditional dhow boat and set sail to witness big game fish in action, then watch the sunset with a drink in hand!
For those guests hoping for a bit more of an adrenaline rush, there are a number of operators in this area, within the Marine Parks and beyond, offering snorkelling, diving, waterskiing, kite surfing and wind surfing.
You can also take a day trip to Wasini Island or Kisite Marine Park to spend time viewing the amazing wildlife here, including dolphins!
Travellers open to exploring farther afield can book on a fly-in safari to the Maasai Mara and see all the big game on the plains.

The communal areas in The Maji are of a very high standard indeed.
Guests can relax in a comfortable lounge area, maybe pick up a book from the library and have a quiet read on one of the sofas, or browse the souvenir shop to pick out something special to take home for family and friends. If you are looking to cool off with a quick dip in the pool, there is the choice of an indoor or an outdoor swimming pool! There is even a fitness center and massage service on offer to get the blood flowing and to completely unwind. The restaurant offers a wide range of cuisine, from local Swahili food to Indian and Mediterranean fare. Finally, there is a function area that can hold up to 150 people, the perfect location to host a wedding!

All fifteen bedrooms at The Maji are first rate for size and comfort.
Additionally, each has been decorated individually, so if you choose to return you can opt for a different room, to enjoy an alternative style. All rooms are air conditioned to keep you cool, with a ceiling fan for those particularly hot days. A comfortable lounge area with satellite television provides a home-from-home feel. You can make your own hot cup of tea or coffee in the morning and make good use of the mini bar! Room service is available throughout the accommodation. Each room has its own private balcony – some balconies have incredible views of the Indian Ocean! The bathrooms are spacious and include either a shower or a bathtub, complimentary slippers, bathrobes as comfortable as a fluffy cloud, and toiletries provided for free.
