Located within an important elephant corridor, Wilderness Linyanti Tented Camp has access to floodplains, marshland, woods, and savanna, making it ideal for encountering a diverse range of wildlife. Certain activities are seasonal, so please contact our team for further details.
Sprawling plains, mopane woodlands, riverine forests, and ample waterways make Linyanti Reserve a widespread habitat for all sorts of wildlife. Four of the Big Five are among the most popular species to see here – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Guests will likely encounter plenty of smaller predators and herbivores, including cheetah, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and antelopes such as roan and sable. Drives from camp take place during the early morning and late afternoon.

Head out after sunset with your knowledgeable guide and spotlight on a thrilling after-dark search for leopard, civet, genet, honey badger, and spring hare.

Usually a dry-season activity, walks are brilliant for getting to know the smaller lives of the Linyanti reserve, including its resident plants, insects, and birdlife. Noteworthy specials for birders in the area include double-banded sandgrouse, helmeted guinea fowl, African fish eagle, and the rather majestic Verreaux’s eagle owl.

Venture into the log pile hide for an incredible view of the passing wildlife, including big game species. Don’t forget your camera and binoculars!

Fly over vast swathes of the Linyanti and see its extraordinary landscape and plentiful wildlife from high above. Please note that helicopter flights incur an additional cost.

*This property is unfenced and located in a wildlife area, so large and potentially dangerous animals do pass through. If you opt to stay here, always be alert when walking around the camp and request for a member of staff to escort you if you have any concerns. Any guest is escorted after dark as a matter of course.
