  • Sprawling plains, mopane woodlands, riverine forests, and ample waterways make Linyanti Reserve a widespread habitat for all sorts of wildlife. Four of the Big Five are among the most popular species to see here – lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo. Guests will likely encounter plenty of smaller predators and herbivores, including cheetah, hyena, wild dog, giraffe, wildebeest, zebra, and antelopes such as roan and sable. Drives from camp take place during the early morning and late afternoon.

  • Usually a dry-season activity, walks are brilliant for getting to know the smaller lives of the Linyanti reserve, including its resident plants, insects, and birdlife. Noteworthy specials for birders in the area include double-banded sandgrouse, helmeted guinea fowl, African fish eagle, and the rather majestic Verreaux’s eagle owl.
