Nuarro is located on a 800-hectare concession on Baixo do Pinda in Northern Mozambique. The closest airport is Nampula, which you can access easily from South Africa and Kenya.

One to discuss with us
This rustic yet comfortable eco-lodge is a four-hour drive from the nearest airport, on pretty rough roads for much of it. That’s how remote it is and that’s why we love it… oh, and the snorkelling and diving is simply spectacular too.

Nuarro’s owners have a passion for diving and there is a full PADI dive centre at the lodge. What attracts so many divers is the close proximity to the continental shelf. There really is so much to offer here to all different levels of divers, from 10–15-metre dives on the home reef to vertical drop-offs and colourful pinnacles.
Just next to the activity centre is the beach bar, a laidback area where you can get light snacks and enjoy the view.
Facilities
The meals at the lodge are usually based on the catch of the day and cooked simply to keep with the natural setting of Nuarro.
The views from the restaurant are out to the ocean and to Nanatha Island Rock.
Amenities
All chalets have indoor and outdoor showers, and a large lounge area leads out onto a private veranda and then onto a private path to the beach with a day bed.
If you are travelling as a family, some of the chalets have a twin room upstairs so you can share a room.
